Cape Town on a Rainy day!

Home / Blog / Cape Town on a Rainy day!

Perfect day for a duvet day in Cape Town. Woke up this morning to a wet and rainy day in the mother city, and all I could think of was how nice it would be to stay in bed like a hibernating bear.Unfortunately duty calls and before I knew it I was running out of the door with coffee in hand doing the school run.

Some of you may be watching the weather a little more closely  as you are riding in Cape Towns premier cycling event, the Argus cycle tour on Sunday. A chance for the ordinary South African to ride alongside the likes of Richard Branson. I have checked the weather forecast and it looks like a good day for cycling. There will be a light South Easter blowing, which for those of you that know Cape Town weather will know that means sunshine! So good luck to all you cyclists out there.

Well for those of you that have read my last blog would notice that my site was defaced and in the process I lost some of my content. One particular article was that of me attending a magic show at Alexander Bar. I would like to take the opportunity and just mention my experience as it was note worthy. This very cool trendy bar is situated in Strand street and is a must see if you haven’t already been. They have a small theatre upstairs where Cape Town magician, Bryan Miles gave a awesome performance. He is really a great magician and if you haven’t seen him perform before, you really should make the effort. His show was engaging, entertaining and he had the crowd in the palm of his hand for the entire duration of his performance. I really liked his relaxed manner and showmanship. He is currently running his new show at the Playhouse in Somerset west – 5th April 2013. For those lazy souls out there I will put a link at the bottom of this post. I can highly recommend the show and think we should all support South African artists and performers. This is world class entertainment on your doorstep.

Okay enough of Bryan this is after all my blog. This weekend I am looking to restore the last bits and pieces of my website so that everything is back to where it should have been. One thing missing is my subscribe button on the blog and some video footage … As I am slightly technologically challenged it may take quite some time to get all of the functionality back up and running. Oh dear not looking forward to that. Other than that I will hopefully get a chance to get down to some serious kite surfing!  Also for those of you new to my website and blog, please feel free to comment and interact with me. Let me know if there is something you would like me to talk about in future.
